How do I create a wallet?
Install the app, tap Create wallet, write down your 12-word recovery phrase, confirm three of the words and turn on Face ID. No email or phone number is needed.
I lost my recovery phrase.
paymail.ai never holds your keys, so we cannot recover the phrase for you. If the wallet still opens on your phone, go to Settings, then Show recovery phrase, and write it down again.
I can’t see money I received.
BTC and BCH appear once the blockchain confirms them. Check the status in the transaction details. If it still does not show, contact us with the transaction ID.
What are the fees?
We charge no fees. You pay only the blockchain network fee, usually a few sat on BSV and variable on BTC.
How do x402 payments work?
When an x402 service requests payment, the app shows the amount and the recipient. Approve with Face ID and it is paid in BSV, directly to that service and not to paymail.ai.
Who can read memos?
Only the sender and the recipient. Memos are encrypted on your phone and recorded on the blockchain, and we cannot read them. Records cannot be deleted, so never include passwords or similar data.
I sent a link by mistake.
If it has not been claimed, go to Activity, then Sent links, and tap Take back. A link works like cash: whoever opens it first can claim it.
Which coins are supported?
Bitcoin SV (BSV), Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Payments, memos and x402 use BSV. BTC and BCH can be held and sent. Lightning is not supported.
What is a Paymail address?
Paymail is an email-style address for BSV that wallets resolve to a payment destination. You can send BSV from paymail.ai to Paymail addresses from other wallets.
How do I remove the wallet?
Go to Settings, then Remove wallet from this device. Your funds stay on the blockchain and can be restored any time with your recovery phrase.
